Gruener Sonnabend: Selected Work

GRÜNER SONNABEND, HANSAVIERTEL BERLIN

in collaboration with Mathias Noell, Sybille Hoimann, Anna  und Joachim Hopp

Gruener Sonnabend was a community project that was designed and organized in collaboration with Mathias Noell, Sybille Hoimann, Anna und Joachim Hopp in October 2010 in Hansaviertel, Berlin, Germany. The project raised funds within the community to plant 6000 tulips on the traffic median on Altonaerstrasse, a busy traffic artery intersecting the neighborhood of the International Building exhibition of 1957. The tulip bulbs that were ordered from the Netherlands were planted during a community event, involving neighbors, the city's landscape department, and local stakeholders.
